Robert McClory & Watergate: Is That Any Way to Run a White House?

What does the Lake Bluff Bike Path have to do with Watergate?

Both were part of the legacy of long-time Lake Bluff resident Robert McClory, a leading Republican during the investigation that toppled Richard M. Nixon’s presidency 50 years ago.

Lake Bluff History Museum board member Steve Kraus will explain how a small town lawyer from Lake Bluff made constitutional history while representing his constituency as a U.S. congressman. The presentation will provide details of McClory’s early contributions in Lake Bluff to his work on the national political stage … and back to the bike path that bears his name.

This presentation is part of Lake Bluff History Museum’s Distilling History series; it takes place at 7 pm on Oct. 1 at North Shore Distillery. Tickets cost $30 and include a drink — and they often sell fast, so don’t delay! Click here to purchase your tickets now.
